On this Friday, we welcome the opening ceremony of the upcoming Olympiad with a story you're probably not going to hear on NBC: the east side of Vancouver is apparently "Drug Central" for North America, according to a report in the BBC. We explore a controversial program the Vancouver mayor supports and discuss drug legalization, the strategy of enforcement vs. prevention/treatment and a great speech from a character on HBO's The Wire, about the failure of the War on Drugs.

On a lighter note, as we half-jokingly predicted on yesterday's program, WE'RE HUGE IN ALGERIA! We're taking the international world by storm here on the program, and we celebrate with a day of traditional north African music.

Of course, since we were already up in the Great White North for the Olympics, we may as well hitch a moose ride over to Manitoba and review a self-titled six-track EP by local group The Lytics.

Finally, to lighten the mood after a week of heavy snow, we pass along a great segment from Comedy Central's Tosh.0, a video breakdown of the most lopsided girl fight you're likely to see:
